Today, in the field of medicine, there are still many people who have not been helped by conventional medical practices. Surprisingly, the most effective new development in American Health Care is several thousand years old. Alternative medicines such as Chinese Medicine and acupuncture have become prevalent and now have entered the mainstream of healthcare. New York Oriental HealthCare Center treats many chronic difficult diseases. Our goal has always to help patients to decrease the level of pain, improve the patient’s quality of life and prevent health problems.
Staffs at NYOHC believe in providing concerned, individualized treatment to all of their patients. Treatment at this center is multi-disciplinary approach from the traditional Chinese medical point of view. Furthermore, they employed painless acupuncture treatment technique. When a painless treatment is performed, it is much more pleasant to the patient. A painless treatment may also help to relieve the stress and anxiety a patient may feel prior to an acupuncture session. The patient is much calmer and in fact, healing starts when the mind is in peace and in harmony.
Here are a list of treatment types:
Acupuncture – The application of fine stainless steel needles into acupuncture points located along channel. The procedure is relatively painless in the hands of a skilled acupuncturist. In addition, there is nothing added, nothing taken out of your body. We only use pre-sterilized disposable acupuncture needles. Sometimes, mild current of electricity is applied for continuous stimulation of the acupoints.
Chinese Herbal Therapy – The use of Chinese herbs specifically and individually to correct imbalance situations and stagnated circulations of the person’s body.
Moxibustion – A heat treatment using mugwort to increases circulation and promote healing.
Cupping – The application of cups to the surface of the body to alleviate pain and muscle spasm.
Gua Sha – A rubbing technique on the skin to alleviate pain.
Tui-Na – a form of Oriental Bodywork characterized by gentle but vigorous push, press, grasp, rub, vibrate, drag, squeeze, twist and tap techniques.
We are devoted to our service in Chinese Medicine, the oldest unbroken form of healing art. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
